How much does a security system cost?

A security system to buy can cost $300.00 and up. If you sign up for monitoring, we do give discounts. You can "lease to own" systems which can go from $0 down and $24.95 a month on up.

Do security systems go off in storms?

No, security systems are a lot better now and have built in surge protection, back-up batteries, and are a lot more durable. Also, our systems allow the motion detectors to be easily turned off when a pet is in the room.

What about cats or dogs?

We have "pet immune" motion detectors which work for small cats and dogs. If you have a large dog, we suggest a glass break detector as an alternative.

What devices do you suggest in a security system?

The National Alarm Association suggests protecting all accessible doors and windows with contact switches and motion detectors or glass break detectors as a back-up to the contact switches and UL approved photo-electric smoke and heat detectors for fire protection.

What does it mean when my alarm system panel indicates "trouble"?

It could mean several things such as a low system battery or a low zone battery, it could also reveal faulty system components. If trouble is indicated on your system, try resetting the system. If trouble is still indicated after a system reset, contact us to have your system checked for necessary repairs.
